First Day of School September 4, 2011

Adelle had her first day of school this week. A few months ago the thought of school threw her into fits of terror and tears. But then we found her school song on the internet and slowly she started to get excited. Originally I thought Greg would have to take her to school on the first day because I didn`t think I could handle a teary drop off.
In the end Adelle was so excited about school that we decided that I would be able to take her. There were tears when I had to leave her at school…but the tears were all mine! This girl was full of attitude and ready to take on the world.
Simon and I weren`t quite sure what to do with each other after Adelle left. We are both so used to having her tell us what to do! In the end Simon asked if we could go back to the school and pick her up. I told him that we coudln`t get her until school was over. He told me that it was ok, we could just go in and get her. Simon and I ended up waiting on the steps for about 25 minutes.
On Adelle`s second day of school…we missed her, but I was better prepared and Simon and I had a great time together. We never get time just the two of us…and it was so fun.
